conceptual design for a two-hectare lakeside park for leisure, food and fun for families and friends in the outskirts of cambodia’s capital phnom penh. outdoor café and dinning platforms combined with air-conditioned cabins for groups of various sizes are complemented by a range of activities for all ages on water and land. the free shaped structures constitute a counterpoint to the lush landscape.

a newly formed earth mound shelters the lakeside from road emission and supports the sense of discovering a nature park. around the manmade island with focus on food and beverage, visitors find wooden platforms for fishing, canoeing or simply enjoying the sunset, an archery field next to a playground and animal farms, a camp site with event arena, to mention a few. a watch tower overlooking the lake also serves as starting point for a breath-taking zip line and suspension bridge crossing the lagoon. management, storage and staff accommodation are combined in an artistically composed stack of cargo containers.
